BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. – A fifth grader in Missouri raised money to help pay off the student lunch debt at his school.
“He decided that he wanted to leave a legacy here at Thomas Ultican which is what we teach our kids,” said teacher Kristi Haley, adding that the idea to help pay off student debt was more about the message behind it than the money itself.Staff at the school started a yearly award in Daken’s honor.
