THE Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Governorship Candidate, Dr. Asue Ighodalo, has promised to treat Akoko-Edo people fairly, if elected in the September 21 poll in Edo State.
Ighodalo had a two-hour discussion with Akoko-Edo stakeholders in their second interactive session with Edo State governorship candidates christened: “Meet the Candidates” series, a platform for candidates seeking elective offices to lay out their plans for Akoko-Edo LGA. He emphasized that his administration would prioritise security, infrastructure, and industrialisation, if elected.
Noting the constitutional challenges of creating a new LGA, he said would look at creative ways to address LGA creation using LCDAs. saying. “we will work with the state House of Assembly to sort this out.”
