Mr. Biden told Pastor George Stephanopoulos it would take the Lord Almighty to convince him to quit, and these people took that to be an invitation to play God. Where were these arguments six months ago when the Democrat Party was rigging the Democrat primary to keep viable alternatives such as Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Rep. Dean Phillips from challenging Mr. Biden for the Democrat nomination? Why did the New York Times spend the past three years lying about and covering up Mr. Biden’s obvious “age and infirmity”?

By readily agreeing to last month’s debate deep in hostile territory on CNN, moderated by deeply jaundiced anti-Trumpers, Mr. Trump lured Mr. Biden out into the open. Mr. Biden could not have asked for friendlier terrain — or a friendlier audience.
