UYO— THE family of Bassey Daniel, one of the prospective National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, members from Akwa Ibom State, kidnapped in Zamfara State has called on relevant stakeholders, including the state government to help rescue him.
It will be recalled that after one of the young graduates and the driver of Akwa Ibom Transport Company, AKTC, were freed in December 2023, Daniel and one female were left behind in the kidnapper’s den. Daniels family member, Mr. Umoh, who spoke to Vanguard, yesterday, lamented: “Our hope was dashed when our son was not released along with the female victim last two weeks. We were told that two of them will be freed the same time, only the female was allowed to go.
