Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has addressed the transfer interest in Scott McTominay after the Red Devils turned down bids for their homegrown midfielder

Erik ten Hag does not want to sell Scott McTominay this summer amid interest in the midfielder from Fulham and Galatasaray.

McTominay would go on to enjoy the most productive season of his Old Trafford career, plundering 10 goals for United. That has led to further interest in the Scotland international, with United already rejecting bids from both Fulham and Galatasaray. Speaking after United won a friendly match against Rangers on Saturday, Ten Hag said: "I think we have very good players so they'll always have an interest from other clubs. If you score 10 goals in a season and perform very well for Scotland there will be an interest.

While Ten Hag is keen to keep McTominay around, a number of other players are expected to join the likes of Donny van de Beek, Willy Kambwala and Mason Greenwood in leaving the club before the summer transfer window shuts. As well as the funds raised from selling said players, the Red Devils also released two big earners in Anthony Martial and Raphael Varane at the end of their contracts last season as part of a squad overhaul.
