Non members, including departmental staff, committee members and other Oireachtas workers, also owed the restaurant a total of €14,509. An Oireachtas spokeswoman said that the deductions would automatically be taken out of staff accounts by card or salary by January 2020. Other figures show that the Dáil restaurant made over €23,000 in profit in the last three years, including a €40,000 surplus in 2017.
Hmmm surely at 90000 a year they can fix up for there food and drinks bills on the day?
These guys are so irresponsible... and yet, they’re still allowed to participate in making important decisions for this Country. Ridiculous. 🙄😡
The 84 have spent approx €20 a week each. Finally a good new story 👌
Ah lads come on sure they were on a well deserved voting hiatus.
It's around 180 each.
Sure they do nothing they eat for nothing isn’t that a politician
It amounts to less than €200 that each of them owe. I’m not sure this is really worth reporting.
How is this a story when the amounts outstanding are automatically deducted anyway?
Our hard earned money feeding the overfed and over indulged
The Dáil restaurant has a bar
This is what our taxpayer money is going towards?. Absolute Disgrace
Name and shame..the rotten gits!!!
Politicians freeloading, nothing new there
The rest of us pay on consumption. The place is hardly any busier than an average bar so settle up as they go
Nothing to see here move along. The carbon tax will settle the bill
So €172 average on their account? 10-15 dinners? This isn’t exactly a ground breaking story?
