Argentines love to hate the IMF, but their governments return to the lender again and again. “It’s like asking Dracula for a blood transfusion.”

A playground in the Villa 31 slum of Buenos Aires. Argentina has spent almost half of the past six decades under IMF supervision.

True. They are, and will be, prisoners of the IMF forever and ever.😂

IMF is feeding Argentina's addiction

Aside from the top 1%, elites, & bankers, everyone hates the IMF.

Populist governments spend more than they can, waste money on corruption and incompetence, and then make their own people believe the last resort lender is the real vilain. Sadly, this always works here in South América.

Here in Pakistan is also the same situation. Governments again and again return to IMF and the people and every opposition party (whichever that might be) oppose it. In the name of macro stability, it has ruined the lives of the common people. IMF's prescriptions failed in past.

Kinda like Greece and the EU! BREXIT
