That makes sense that they should receive money. Chase Bank told me they were only helping the larger businesses. Bankruptcy for me is imminent as I am a small business, well when the courts reopen, but I feel better knowing that sport franchises have been well taken care of.

They could have just asked KingJames for some 'walking around' money rather than take it from small business.

Guessing doing one smart thing doesn’t mean the NBA has found a spine and endorsed democracy in Hong Kong.......ok, group laughs

I have no clue what 'small' business is then if Lakers qualify. PPPLoan

It begs question why they felt they were genuinely qualified. Given nba is in bed with China one would figure they’d had gotten a loan fm Xi.

When I think of small business, I’m definitely thinking Lakers! Wait, no, no I’m not.

Lol

They had until may 7th to return the loan or face federal criminal prosecution

Very Smart!

no one wants to tell us how the FUCKING LAKERS got a SMALL business loan? Or shakeshack? or Ruth's? did they APPLY?

I got a story for you but you wouldn't take it how about this one one mom isn't giving up even being forced out there home state just to get what her son needs to help keep him with me longer with no money no way lots of hugs from team Charles

If true, hire some humans to monitor these payments.

Just tells u the money is not going to ' small business' the big guys with lawyers get a head start...America Corporations first

All these companies are going to be fu&$ed because they have to give the money back, and they will be on my sh*t list of companies I will never be patronizing!

You have to wonder how they got it in the first place. Isn't there any oversight on these loans at all?

Can someone start collecting the financial institution who are processing this applications?

JeanieBuss clown show

All those big business are not off the hook for returning money. They just got caught. They were arrogant and greedy enough apply.

Why did they even apply?

Maybe they shouldn't pay players contracts worth a bajilllion dollars? Just a thought.

Shameless but then again sports team owners seem to believe ripping off the Public taxpayers is part of the job.

So dirty.

5 Million Dollars For Small business You Yellow Purple Ass holes 😡

Thank you Lakers for returning the money.

Why did they get one in the first place?
