The Predators have loaned forward Eeli Tolvanen to KHL club Jokerit for the start of the 2020-21 season.

Earlier this month, the KHL announced its 2020-21 season would begin on Sept. 2. The European league’s 2019-20 season was suspended in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Predators said Tolvanen will return to the Predators organization prior to training camp in preparation of the NHL’s 2020-21 campaign. Tolvanen spent one season with the Jokerit — based in Helsinki in his native Finland — in 2017-18, before making his way over to North America to officially join the Predators. The 21-year-old put up 21 goals and 36 points in 63 games for the AHL’s Milwaukee Admirals in 2019-20.More from Sportsnet
