As a lifelong Brexiteer but equally someone who is sceptical of promises made by the Conservative Party because so often in the past they’ve not made it to delivery, I am pleased that I keep hearing our chief negotiator David Frost use the words ‘we will be an independent country’.

When he comes out with this stuff, does his brain not revolt and shut him down as its the same guff that has been tried for four years. Meaningless babble doesn't trump reality.
Repeating the same thing for 4 years does not make it a reality. And the negotiations have proved this.
