PETALING JAYA: The government will take all efforts to jumpstart the economy including borrowing to fund economic boosting initiatives in Budget 2021, says Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
He said the government had taken early measures to support small- and medium-sized businesses along with micro-enterprises to ensure jobs and income for workers. “If we don’t start somewhere, there will be unemployment and no business activities, which can lead to more losses, ” he said. “We want to practise inclusiveness with everyone, we want to be regarded as being customer friendly and are prepared to hear any suggestions.He said he would also like to extend the opportunity to members of the opposition to sit at the Economic Action Council and Covid-19 mitigation meetings, which he chairs, to present their suggestions.
