Masai Ujiri and Bobby Webster deserve heaps of credit for maneuvering the Raptors into championship status. But it’s fair to point out that in the years since there have been more misses than hits. (michaelgrange)

were the replacements for Green, who also went on to win his third career title with the Lakers last season.

In retrospect, the Raptors absolutely could have kept Ibaka without being a tax team or otherwise altering their off-season plans now or in the future. The Raptors’ new centres – Aron Baynes and Alex Len, veteran journeymen with minimal upside signed to one-year deals – offer little in the way of offensive punch and Toronto’s 28th-ranked attack is a reflection.

“Right now we have nothing, you know, there's nothing to us, right? We're just like that team that teams are looking at us like ‘alright let's go eat.’” said Lowry. “We have to use that to fuel us.”

michaelgrange The only head scratching mistake was ibaka. Everything else was a product of building a championship roster. I get that there’s uncertainty, but throwing the guys who literally changed the scope of this franchise under the bus isn’t a fair critique

michaelgrange In the years since? How many years has it been? Half last season was played in a bubble and this season has just began. It’s not even a good 2 years. You could have hold on to this article for 3 more years. 🤦🏾‍♀️ And no it’s not fair to point this out 🙄

michaelgrange 'That didn’t go over well with Ibaka who, according to multiple sources, resented having to play behind the Spanish international and wasn’t going to sign on for a shared role again.' 👆Masai's biggest miscalculation, to me. Ibaka should have been a top priority- esp over Gasol.

michaelgrange This is a really dumb take. Stop with the nonsense.

michaelgrange More misses that hits Lmfao get a fucking clue!

michaelgrange Looks like Toronto media turning on Masai and Bobby...

michaelgrange Not sure when that photo (bobby, coach, masai) was taken but that is not good or positive body language for management supposed to be working together... it's clear there are issues this year and this photo illustrates that too

michaelgrange They went all in to win a championship and it worked. They have no lottery picks or upper echelon talent other than an older lowry on the team. They will struggle for at least 2-3 years and everyone should be ok with it. Trade lowry for assets at the deadline, rebuild.

michaelgrange Same thing happens to every good team. Eventually you gotta rebuild. They have no lottery picks because they have been a contending/playoff team for so long. They’d probably have more then 1 Championship if LBJ didn’t exist. A great run. Give Lowry another shot somewhere else.
