One million adults in New South Wales will be able to register their interest from 5pm on Monday to receive their first dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine “within weeks”.
NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian says those aged 40 to 49 can register their interest in receiving the Pfizer vaccine from 5pm on Monday, May 10.“”That’s around a million people in NSW,” she said, adding that the state has an adult population of around six million people. She said health officials still have not detected the missing link between a US traveller in hotel quarantine and an eastern suburbs man and his wife.
“Because of that, we’re still concerned that there may be chains of transmission in the community that are [as of] yet unrecognised.”on Monday morning, with the capacity to administer doses of the AstraZeneca and Pfizer vaccines out of two separate pharmacies.
