US stocks were mixed in afternoon trading as investors continue to position for a more hawkish approach to monetary policy in 2022 at the Federal Reserve.
The local currency was 0.3 per cent higher; the Bloomberg dollar spot index slid 0.5 per cent. Bitcoin was trading near $US41,800.
