I pay for other people's children to go to school, for other people to take family leave, for social security I likely won't get to partake in, for past wars I didn't believe in, the list goes on. This is how taxes work. Not everything your taxes go towards are for YOU personally

To cancel student Debt would make everyone then say cancel all credit card debt. There really is no difference. You knowingly pursued a degree, took loans, and need to repay regardless of your income . Perhaps a smarter more lucrative degree than performing arts or languages?
If signed into law it would get tied up in courts until after the midterms and likely never actually help anyone get debt relief.
Let’s be clear - if student loans are “forgiven” or “canceled” they don’t just disappear, they are paid for with taxpayer dollars! This administration is picking wallets dry.
