That would only drive up inflation tremendously higher

Just when you think stupidity has peaked there is always the folks in DC to remind us all they have much more to give.

At least call it what it will be. The debt will have to be paid by somebody. Just not the ones who made the contract and agreement to pay. Taxpayers get stuck with the bill.

Using my money to buy votes from folks who chose poorly

Loans between private individuals are BINDING CONTRACTS. Any government official undertaking to simply cancel a legal contract is engaging in MARXIST/COMMUNIST-STYLE CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR !
