Until more options for EV mini-vans are developed, many families will be left out of the EV market. We need more utilitarian EV’s, not just a bunch of compact cross overs and sedans. Think 6-8 seats, cargo space, towing ability, etc…

Last week I had my car at a dealership to fix the AC. Got picked up from work in an electric shuttle car. Asked the driver about battery life. Was told battery was good for 180km in summer, 120km in winter. Takes 5 to 19 hours to charge at home, depending on kw of charger.
And where are we going to buy ev’s? The lots are empty with one year wait times. I want selection. I won’t buy a 🚘 if it’s the only one I can find.
$10 to $15 to drive 45 km? So he traded in a heavy duty truck for a hybrid or is he just really bad at math?
Looks like we have some folks in the comments who have been brainwashed. You can pay at least $2 per litre at the pump, or $10 to fully charge an EV at home. EV's require significantly lesser maintenance too. The batteries are covered by extensive warranty. Up to 250,000 kms.

I would really like to see the news services going to town on the oil companies who have just recorded record profits for the first quarter of 2022. It doesn’t just affect people driving their cars. It’s also adding costs to transit and the shipping of goods and food.
