Rogers users with an $85/month wireless plan can expect a $5.50 credit

Many others took to Twitter to share similar complaints of insufficient compensation.

“Clearly many different consumers have been impacted in lots of ways by the loss of that service,” Whitehurst said. “But there’s really no way — that we can imagine — to average that and be fair to all parties.” In an apology to Rogers customers, Staffieri promised to credit people for the time spent without services. This promise has led to the emergence of phishing scams that claim customers must click on a link to receive their credit. Rogers tweeted that “no action is required” for a credit to be received and urged users to be wary of such text messages.

when we go over our plan limit, they charge 10 times more. Unreliable service should give back customers 20 times what they paid for.

Telecoms are monopolistic, symbiotic, government regulated, lobby based, supply managed, socialist, infrastructure...not good for productivity, transparency, logic, truth, reason...just good for guaranteed revenue flow associated with their supply controlled industry monopoly.

Wow, $5.50. 😂😂😂😂

Change your provider.. it’s that easy.. So $5.50 pays for someone not being able to call 911 for help when they need it? $5.50=the price of a human life in Canada, according to Rogers. For shame!
