What impact will the Bank of Canada's interest rate hike have on your life? Please email us at dotcom@bellmedia.ca with your name, location and contact information. Your comments may be used in a CTVNews.ca story.

Bank of Canada Gov. Tiff Macklem said Wednesday's rate hike, the single largest since August 1998, reflected "very unusual economic circumstances."

"Inflation is too high, and more people are getting more worried that high inflation is here to stay," Macklem said. "We cannot let that happen. Restoring price stability -- low, stable and predictable inflation -- is paramount."

Not much as I'm a responsible adult who isn't house poor.

I figure it probably only affects people that have money. I don't have money.

Solar powered Arena sized homeless shelters are required. Liberals financially forcing people to convert to green compliance that will get even more expensive.

20% of cash flow or more accurate is 20% Reduction in 'Standard_Of_Living' while 110% increase in income of ultra wealthy Billionaire class

I have zero debt so maybe not a lot.

$$$ variable mortgage

Poll: Will the rate hike affect you?

Personally? It wont. For people who were fooled by the “schemes” relating to mortgage equity in the last 5 years will discover a harsh truth

Banks will have a collection of keys…

All part of the plan , all be broke soon enough eating crickets and forced vaccines

Not!

The economy would balance itself sockboy said.

I’m guessing tax hikes…

Just look at your bank and cc statements. Lol

Because Justin Trudeau doesn’t think about monetary policy, I would say his spending will have a negative effect on my life and for the next decade.

Thankfully it won't. We own our home, so no mortgage, no credit card debt or line of credit. We have one car payment. Spend wisely my friends.

So if youre printing money, why am I being taxed to pay for the debt?

For those with zero debt, understand basic economics and finances, and money to invest, this is generally a positive thing.

Banks. Banks is all about the banks and profit. Canada ia joke when it comes to are corrupt leaders in every business

Most underwhelming and confusing answer. Talk to US not the Bay St. TO Execs. I have no idea what you mean - but if it helps 🤷🏻‍♂️ sure… I already gave up on a house, land and kids. So do what you gotta do BoC. I’m still upset and working for money that chases fewer goods.

Well let’s see you will pay more for EVERYTHING is that about right?

Gonna have to work more for the same life

Gotta love that .75 increased return on your savings while inflation has made it lose half it’s value.

It won’t. I renewed all my loans in May 2022. So BAHAAHAHA on this shit! 🖕🏼

I cannot wait to help pay for the chartered banks record profits. Every Canadian should thank god that we live in a country when these outrageous profits are non taxable

I'll pay more profit to the big banks and it doesn't do shit to inflation because it's caused by fuel costs. Thanks bankofcanada

Destroy the country. We all know (the ones with a brain) that the cabal is on a mission to destroy the country

I have zero debt so not worried about that. Inflation is killing me though.

Well it won't do much for inflation...But next reading will be steady..Oil prices off it's highs

Hike hike hike and get it over with!

Stupid question, but then Trudeau pats for this!

you will own nothing and be happy - klaus schwab
