The Fed is in a 'sweet spot' to bring rates back to neutral, says former governorFormer Fed Governor Robert Heller said the central bank is well positioned to bring interest rates in the U.S. back to neutral levels, and it may need to continue raising rates for another two or three times. That doesn’t make any sense. We just had for hikes in a row. And there are signs of global recession. The prudent decision would have been to raise now and make it clear that data dependent in the future not keep saying we can have two more hikes I'd like to see the total government audited by a fine tooth comb...I think this 'debt' noise is actually just noise...there's gotta be piles of cash sitting somewhere...there can't be that many billionaires in this country and be in debt for 24 trillion...you gotta be insane. 'A looser monetary policy stance... is generally more favorable for stocks. That's because such a policy helps to increase economic activity by encouraging more companies and individuals to lend, spend and invest.' Oh and leveraged buybacks and artificially high asset prices.

Fed Chairman Powell now sees current interest rate level 'just below' neutralFederal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell said Wednesday he considers the central bank's benchmark interest rate to be near a neutral level, an important distinction from remarks he made less than two months ago. They won't be when YOU get done with them. but if the exonomy is overheating dont we need above neutral rates too lower them in the next recession? I mean that stuff is written in the books about socialism, sorry capitalism....... We see the impact of raising rates instantly & over time as Powell stated, but impact is witness instantly in form of decreased home purchases and slow downs in construction. That's the point of the manipulation of interest rates - to control inflation & consumer spending.
