After Republicans criticized US President Joe Biden's student debt relief plan, some shared this screenshot that appears to show commentator Ben Shapiro received loan forgiveness. He said that is false -- the loan was awarded to someone with the same name

"So they found a person named Ben Shapiro who applied for and received a loan in Los Angeles in 2021," the conservative commentator said in an August 24AFP found no evidence that Shapiro's media company, The Daily Wire, received a PPP loan. AFP reached out to an LA-based real estate broker named Ben Shapiro for comment., some worth millions of dollars, supposedly awarded to Republicans who have spoken out against federal student debt forgiveness.
