Florida couple who paid off $190k in student loan debt in 27 months 'angry' over Biden's handout

Cristina and Sherman Merricks of Gainesville, Florida, admit they're"a little angry" over President Biden's student loan handout on"Varney & Co." Friday, August 26, 2022.

The small business owner said he was paying $300 minimum each month on his loans and expected to continue paying that for the rest of his life. In an effort to double their income, the Merricks adjusted to a strict budget and opened a second business just months before the pandemic started in 2020. The couple admitted feeling "extremely blessed" that it took off and helped to pay off their debt in 27 months, but noted "nothing is free," including loan handouts.

"Individually, I am happy if people get their student loans paid off $10,000 at a time, then I'm happy for them individually," Cristina clarified. "But we all know that nothing is free, and that there's going to be repercussions.", Sherman further argued. "I'm making these sacrifices so they can have a better life, and they're going to be paying for things that they shouldn't have to pay for," Sherman said.

They should be more angry at spending over $5,000 a year TO PAY FOR THE EASILY PREVENTABLE CARNAGE CAUSED BY AMMOSEXUALS thanks to unfettered access to guns.

$10,000 in forgiveness wouldn't have made hardly any difference to those two any way (so I don't see what they have to complain about).

Had I met them, I'd had them over fund their family bank and turned it into millions without market loss risk. Debt will always be there. The time it takes to accumulate and compound $190K in your favor is gone forever. Don't be 'angry' get world class financial advice.

Whenever anyone leaves out the type of business that popped off around 2020 and later I assume it was an Onlyfans account.

1. Clearly they could afford it. 2. Canceling $10,000 of student debt was a campaign promise President Biden made in 2016. Maybe they should have been paying attention.
