Marcos signs EO imposing one-year moratorium on payment of land amortization

On his 65th birthday, President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. gave a gift to agrarian reform beneficiaries: moratorium on the payment of land amortization and interest payments.The President signed an executive order imposing a one-year moratorium on amortization and interest payments of ARBs for agricultural land distributed under the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program , Agrarian Reform Secretary Conrado Estrella 3rd said.

during his first State of the Nation Address , that of emancipating the agrarian reform beneficiaries from their debts,' Estrella said.He added that the moratorium will help unburden the ARBs from their debts, enabling them to use the money to develop their farms, maximizing their capacity to produce and propel the growth of the economy.
