I would say our most ineffectual PM - but then came May

Pity that didn't occur to you when you were spending all that money, which the country didn't have, in a desperate bid to cling onto power.

Don't know why he and Blair are so surprised considering it was their actions that encouraged the influx of Eastern European poor and needy for us to feed, house and educate at the expense of our taxpayers, and that's apart from the ludicrous 14 billion a year to foreign aid.

Didn't see a lot else

It's taken Gordon Brown almost a decade to see through the wilful blindness of his time in office. I look forward to the next mea culpa piece a decade from now, when he struggles with how the refusal to acknowledge the problems of his time is still making things worse.

'Again'? I'm not aware of it ever going away under any government.

To the leaders who attended the Global Compact on Refugees signing... Why are we (as refugees)feel that this compact is like a joke? You were busy with climate change and human rights more than the Global Compact..as if you're hiding sth is not good for refugees in this compact!!!

SaveIraqiRefugeesInTurkey How is that? Are you joking?Iraqi refugees are waiting for resettlment since 2013?how people reach other countries and gained the nationality What an unfair treatment for Iraqi refugees in Turkey

Lying duplicitous arse. Why did he bail out the banks with no conditions. Under his watch, the UK became the most divided country in the modern world. Mega rich and desperate poor.

Hypocrisy and empty words.. go away

He certainly made a considerable contribution to it by some of his actions .

In spite of this much progress in science and technology, the world is going on to be a hell for poor people. What was the aim of science?

He must not get out much. It has never gone away.

Gordon Brown, I say to you: And I did not think I would EVER see hospitals having to pay up 7 times the real cost of construction and bankrupt themselves paying back interest because of your PFI obsession. The least you can do is apologise for the misery YOU have caused!

What is child poverty?

It was never eradicated, must be nice.

The Family Life of Extremists:

Thank God there's a few Tory voters/Mail readers commenting on here to deflect the reality away from the actual source of austerity

Not sure selling gold at a low, going to war, or allowing banks to do their thing helped much to be honest mate

Like it disappeared under New Labour? This man is a fantasist that Walter Mitty would have seemed normal next to. ALL media that gives him and his ilk airtime are culpable for the current state of the nation. Stop it!

Sadly I've never not seen it, I suppose its where and how hard you look. Ones in charge sleep soundly by looking the other way 🤔

His banking bailouts have created poverty in this country. We now tens of billions more to foreign debt holders in interest that could go to NHS or social programs. The inconvenient truth for UKLabour and Brown.

The guy's the reason for it!

Selling off the family metal didn't help at a rock bottom price either did it?

This from the man who said he had abolished boom and bust?

Does he think it magically disappeared under Labour?

I was just saying we haven't seen him for a while.

incorrect, working tax credits quashed ambition and made millions addicted to benefits, whilst absolving large companies from paying a decent wage.
