Acknowledging the misfire this week -- about two weeks later -- the Department of Education told ABC News that borrowers will get an updated email soon that corrects the subject line and clarifies the state of the program.
Accenture Federal Services has not returned a request for comment from ABC News, but the Education Department said the company is expected to review quality control measures for future email messages having to do with the program.

All I know is I paid for my loan years ago, I also helped pay my daughter with her college payments. If thus is approved, the funds need to go directly to the lender not the person with the loan. I have heard to many stories of people using this money for other useless things.

I still say that we should have medical debt relief before even considering student loan relief. So many people are unable to buy homes or get credit because of medical debt. You don’t choose to have a medical emergency. You choose to take out a loan. This is the hill I die on

I received an email and I myself have had my loans paid off for well over 5 years, so I wouldnt have applied. But got the email that Ihad applied and got approved. wierd
I think you misunderstood the email. I received one, and it explicitly states that I won’t receive money until all of the lawsuits are over. Pleas do your research before you misinform.
