The DWP is reminding people to check whether they quality for pension credit before Sunday 18 December, as it can be backdated for up to three months. Assuming that they qualify during that period, claimants could be eligible for a £324 boost to help with the cost of living on top of any other benefits.

I didn’t pay enough NI to receive the full state pension, so after bringing up two children in central London I was left with next to nothing for my retirement.
