The iconic filmmaker, Kelani who made the declaration said the appointment was with immediate effect. Kelani, who spent the whole of the Christmas and New Year holiday in Ikogosi, Ekiti State also hinted that the governor had ‘graciously accepted the position’.
“I am struggling to find the right words to thank Governor Oyebanji, his entourage and the lovers of cultural films who sat for more than three hours last night to watch O Le Ku 1 & 2 back-to-back at the Ikogosi Warm Springs Resort. The governor was present every night of the six-day of TK Cultural Films Showcase between Christmas and the New Year.
Dubbed the ‘Hills Holiday’ the cultural fiesta featured daily cinema shows of films by Kelani such as Saworoide, Agogo Eewo and Arugba.
