US Foods is suing popular Houston restaurant Turkey Leg Hut for more than $1.2 million. Here's why.Turkey Leg Hut, a restaurant that has grown to be a wildly popular favorite with fans in Houston, is being sued by US Foods Inc. for nearly $1.3 million.

The lawsuit alleges it all began in September 2020, when US Foods said it supplied produce, other non-PACA foods and food-related products and services in exchange for Turkey Leg Hut's timely payment of invoices.. The fruit and vegetable industry requested the act be put into place to promote fair trade.

The lawsuit states that Turkey Leg Hut also agreed to pay 1.5% interest per month on any payment past due until collected, adding that from May 2022 to September 2022, the restaurant ordered produce from US Foods that the company said it sold, shipped and delivered.

So during Covid they couldn’t keep up Neither could a lot of restaurants at that time! To put them on blast like this seems crappy!! Who else have is being “shamed” like this?!?

It mentions an alleged unpaid balance of $85,106.17 to US Foods for produce sold to the restaurant. They would also be responsible for attorney fees, bringing the grand total of the lawsuit to $1,288,583.12. I really admire and respect this restaurant. The food is very good and the atmosphere is with great significance. Naturally, this disparaging hit piece, by the white mainstream media-of course, on turkeyleghut, a SUCCESSFUL Black business & we the public are supposed to assume that they’re telling the gospel truth? Because US Foods says so? 🧐🤔🤨🙄😤😠😡 Nope! 👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿 USFoods how can we punish US Foods for this blatant attack on a black owned business? we need to send a message!
