You can now tap your credit card to pay when you jump on a Durham Region Transit bus.
The province is expanding tap credit card payments on PRESTO devices to Durham, York and other parts of the GTHA. “Thank you to the Ministry of Transportation and Metrolinx for their partnership in expanding credit card payment on PRESTO devices for Durham Region Transit riders,” said Durham Regional Chair John Henry. “This convenient payment option simplifies the boarding process, making public transit more accessible for residents and visitors travelling across Durham Region and beyond.”When you tap, it automatically charges you an adult fare.
The province is also working to expand the credit card payment system to the Toronto Transit Commission and to introduce debit tapping payment capability to all transit agencies in the GTHA.Ctrl+Enter
