Credit Karma said in a statement that it “fundamentally disagrees” with the FTC allegations.Credit Karma of using claims that consumers were “pre-approved” and had “90% odds” to entice them to apply for offers that, in many instances, they ultimately did not qualify for.
After a consumer signs up to get free credit scores from Credit Karma, the company uses the consumer’s personal information to “send targeted advertisements and recommendations for financial products, like credit cards.”
