If reports are to be believed, Liverpool are set to be busy over the next week before the January transfer window closes.
This comes amid the club’s poor form in the league. They sit ninth in the Premier League and it is now looking likely that they will miss out on the top four. The centre-back featured prominently for Liverpool during the 2020/21 season as he covered for Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip and Joe Gomez. But he had a spell on loan at AFC Bournemouth last term and he is now down the pecking order under Jurgen Klopp.to bolster their squad as they look to climb back up into the European places’.
The report states: ‘Klopp’s side are assessing the squads of top European sides like Paris Saint-Germain, Atletico Madrid and Juventus to see if there are any temporary deals they can do to add to their numbers in midfield.’
