Brennan High School does not face an active threat after shots rang out near the campus on Tuesday afternoon, the Bexar County Sheriff's Office said.Deputies have detained a person of interest in connection with a shooting on Tuesday that prompted a lockdown at a west Bexar County school.
The school was placed on lockdown as a precaution. Working in cooperation with district police, the fire department and school administration, Bexar County deputies searched the building and determined it was safe. While deputies were clearing the school, other deputies were dispatched to a home several miles away where they found a person of interest who they believe was involved in the shooting. Salazar said it was too soon in the investigation to determine whether the individual is a suspect.
