Bro this was required when I graduated a couple years ago. Why did they take it away in thr first place?
Moronic idea, as usual from this government. How about funding the shops for existing students appropriately, with machinery and equipment from this century? Tech teachers don’t have the budget to buy materials to do any projects with the trades-bound tech students they’ve got.
Media is emphasizing skill trades, but technological also includes courses laying the foundation for high tech ‘77: enrolled in math at UofWaterloo, had no interest in Computer Science, but Bmath degree req’d 1 CS credit. Loved it, changed my path, spent 35 yrs in high paying IT.
So robots take over?
They would be better off if they received a full technical education…

It's about time, and it's a great idea, and the students should reap life helping skills and direction...
Will the options available be offered in French for those students in French Immersion that already gave difficulty with options and schedules?
This is an excellent idea & long overdue. As one of my technical college tutors told me decades ago, 'if you can use your hands & brain you're set for life'.
