The NRCC is unleashing a digital ad campaign against 35 vulnerable Democrats, hitting them on spending amid the debt ceiling fight. The ad accuses Democrats of being 'addicted' to spending, seeking to ramp up pressure on POTUS's congressional allies.

In the ad, the National Republican Congressional Committee accuses Democrats of being"addicted" to spending taxpayer money, seeking to ramp up pressure on President Joe Biden's allies in Congress ahead of his meeting with the"big four" leaders Tuesday."Extreme House Democrats demand to keep spending our money like drunken sailors or they'll tank the economy and allow America to default," NRCC Chairman Richard Hudson said.

"Democrats maxed out our nation’s credit card with reckless spending, jacking up inflation to historic highs," the ad declares. "Now, they refuse to solve the spending crisis they created, voting against a commonsense plan to tackle the government’s spending problem, cut red tape, and curb our dependence on China."

Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen projected the department will exhaust its"extraordinary measures" to prolong government cash flow by around June 1, giving both sides less than a month to achieve a solution.
