'He's the dorkiest villain.'

"And then he finally steals the drink for himself and he pours it down and it all leaks out of his holes," Lord said of the missing scene. "He's the dorkiest villain. A great line that Chris wrote, though: 'Trying to fill a hole in his heart with more holes.' Not a great method."

While Spot starts off as a hapless nemesis, the villain eventually becomes a real threat to the Spider-Verse when he learns how to control his portals with the help of a super Collider. Revealing how the cut post-credits scene would reference Spot's earlier bar ordeal, head of character animation Alan Hawkins said that the villain was supposed to return to the bar where he would use his newfound powers to enact his revenge on all of the villains who made fun of his misfortune.
