History fans in the city are being asked to join the ranks to help a military museum operating from Fulwood Barracks 💂

They preserve the memory of the Lancashire Lads who served in the Queen’s Lancashire Regiment or one of its predecessors, the East Lancashire, South Lancashire, or Preston’s own Loyal North Lancashire Regiments.

They are open on Fridays and Saturdays. They will ask you to join the roster of volunteer guides so that you can help to staff the Museum for one day, approximately once every 4 to 6 weeks. You will be joining a small and enthusiastic team which is widely praised by it’s visitors – just check out their reviews on Trip Advisor and Google. All you need is an interest in history, preferably but not necessarily military history as full training will be given; good verbal skills to communicate with visitors from a variety of backgrounds; and the ability to work unsupervised in a small team. The Harris announced as a partner for Imperial War Museums’ £2.
