This is factually incorrect and misleading. Eskom is offering a 50% discount on the R6000 penalty that the company imposes on households found to have tampered with electricity meters; those using illegal electricity vouchers; those using electricity illegally etc. Check this👇🏾:

I received ridiculous bills from COJ because of years of estimations. I was held accountable for the previous owners under payments. I did not receive any discount. I had to make a repayment plan or face cutting off of my services. Why don’t I get a 50% discount ?
