At least six people have lost a total of at least $8,000 to a phishing scam involving TikTok since July 2, said police.
After clicking on the URL link embedded in the fake advertisements, the victims would be directed to a phishing site, where they would be required to key in their credit card details and One-Time Passwords to make the purchase. The company said:"It has come to our attention that some unscrupulous individuals are using our product and logo to conduct fraudulent activities.
