The police have increased their visibility on major highways and remain on high alert following sporadic torching of trucks in Mpumalanga, Limpopo, the Free State, Gauteng, and KwaZulu-Natal in the past week. And they have already identified 12 people possibly linked to the attacks.
Cele said he had concluded a high-level meeting with the commissioners of KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo, the Free State, Gauteng and Mpumalanga, led by the National Police Commissioner General Fanie Masemola.
