💬 “There’s just nothing left after we’ve paid the mortgage” 💷 A family whose interest-only mortgage has increased almost five-fold following a succession of rate rises are being forced to sell their family home after months of sleepless nights

“I’ve got a constant butterfly feeling in my stomach,” she added. “It’s a horrible feeling. I don’t feel secure in any shape or form. “My son is very emotional about it, he keeps crying. He keeps saying, ‘I don’t want to leave, Mum, this is my family home, I don’t want to go’ and that’s really hard. I can’t cry when he’s crying.” “There’s no memories. The kids are at a crucial age where we want to do things with them. They’re not youngsters anymore – we just need to make some memories and live. I didn’t have kids just to say no to everything and worry about buying them new school shoes and uniform and not provide for them for their birthdays and Christmas. I’m just done.”
