TTC riders will soon be able to tap credit and debit cards to pay for fares.

The TTC says that transit riders will finally be able to start using credit cards and debit cards to pay for their trips.

The announcement was made at a news conference with members from all levels of government Thursday morning. In addition to adding convenience for customers, the move could help bolster ridership on the transit system, which has been down since the pandemic, resulting in major revenue losses for the city.
