James interest in the 2024 Olympics preceded Team USA’s losses in fourth-place finish in this summer’s World Cup.

Lakers star LeBron James reportedly has an interest in suiting up for the U.S. men’s national basketball team one last time in next year’s Olympics.in playing in one more Olympics, adding that he’s “ready to commit” to Team USA for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

Team USA fell to Germany, the eventual World Cup champions, 113-111 in the semifinals on Friday before dropping the third-place game to Canada 127-118 in overtime on Sunday. The U.S. has won gold in four consecutive Olympics and seven of eight since NBA players were made eligible to play in Summer Olympics basketball starting with the 1992 Games.
