Erik ten Hag made Harry Kane his dream Man Utd transfer target before he moved to Bayern Munich in the summer window.

Harry Kane admits that there were talks with a number of different clubs before he decided to join Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window.

Rasmus Hojlund was identified as United’s principal striker target after the club was discouraged from bidding for Kane, and the Denmark international has enjoyed an encouraging start to life in his new surroundings.The focus will be on both strikers when United begin their Champions League campaign against Bayern on Wednesday night, and ahead of the clash, Kane was asked about United's own interest in signing him.

Kane left English football in search of major honours at club level, but had to put his attempts on hold to become the leading scorer in Premier League history.
