A fleetwide disruption is forcing employees to manually process all credit card and debit card payments.

Expect possible delays when travelling with B.C. Ferries on Saturday due to a fleetwide payment system disruption that is forcing employees to manually process all credit card and debit card payments.

B.C. Ferries spokesperson Karen Johnston said that the malfunction appears to be a problem with third-party operator Moneris. “Terminals have been instructed to keep things moving and to go to a manual point of sale system, which they are all trained to do and have the necessary items that they need in order to do that.”
