Liverpool based Sutton Kersh Auctions report that even though higher interest rates are affecting what mortgage rates people can secure, the market is still "interesting." At their September auction last week they managed to sell more than £7,000,000 worth of property.
The venue sold for £70,000 over its guide price of £210,000. The freehold, three storey plus basement, detached city centre pub is made up of a bar on the ground floor, with a basement beer cellar and two upper floors. Inside it's believed to be stripped back and part way through refurbishment to provide six en-suite letting rooms.
It had a guide price of £180,000 and sold for £200,000. Another vacant residential property, this time a three bed mid-terraced house in Norris Green, sold for £118,00 which was £38,000 over its guide price.
