WASHINGTON - The U.S. Treasury is taking extraordinary measures to avoid violating the government debt limit, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said in a letter to House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Monday. He said he was suspending investment in the Civil Service Retirement and Disability Fund and a “debt issuance suspension period” would begin on Monday and last until June 5.

“I respectfully urge Congress to protect the full faith and credit of the United States by acting to increase the statutory debt limit as soon as possible,” Mnuchin said.

Quit giving tax payers money to people who hate us. No benefits for people who cross our border illegally or over stayers. There I just saved a Trillion dollars.

Insert laughter

Tax the f*ing rich people and corporations! Problem solved!!

Extraordinary measures eh? Like raising taxes and reducing the already blotted military budget, perhaps?

Mostly bc the tax money they gave themselves and all their friends makes a hike of the DEBT Ceiling inevitable

“I respectfully urge Congress to protect the full faith and credit of the United States by acting to increase the statutory debt limit as soon as possible,' Mnuchin said. Can we expect the President to support this?

Like maybe repealing that tax reduction for the rich bill the GOP passed last year? That would help.

Why don't they just ask Trump? He's been taking extraordinary measures to avoid debt ceiling for years!

I still don't trust this guy . . . not even close.

LOL

Thanks for the MASSIVE DEBT... POTUS!

rescinding that horrid tax giveaway to the rich?
