HONDO, Texas — Police are investigating the shooting death of a 35-year-old man in Hondo Wednesday. Police say a juvenile is in custody as a person of interest in that death.for a 911 hangup call. When they got there, they found Fabian Hernandez in the roadway suffering with a gunshot wound. He was taken to University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Detectives recovered a firearm they believe was used in the shooting. The juvenile they took into custody in connection with the case was arrested for an unrelated charge. The person of interest was taken to the juvenile detention facility.
