The next transfer window is never too far away and Liverpool will already be making tentative plans for January.
The Reds will have hopes of mounting another title challenge as they sit just three points off top spot after eight games. Recruiting from a position of strength in January could prove to be the difference for Liverpool at the end of the season and there are several high-profile names that could be available at a bargain price - or on an advanced agreement ahead of summer - as they enter the final months of their respective contracts.
The 21-year-old has started the new season in impressive fashion, with four assists in six La Liga games. Liverpool already have an impressive array of forwards but the Spaniard could offer another option on the right.Liverpool may have brought in four new midfielders but there are still concerns over their options in the holding role. Wataru Endo has been in and out of the side, while Alexis Mac Allister is better suited further forward.
However, there are a couple of young full-backs that could tempt Liverpool into making a January move. One such talent is Chelsea’s Ian Maatsen, with the 21-year-old left-back yet to sign a new deal, despite regularly featuring for Maurucio Pochettino’s side and the club rejecting a big-money offer from Burnley in the summer.
