Big Brothers’ Hallie admits mum got ‘into debt’ paying for her transition

Big Brother viewers were incredibly moved by 18-year-old housemate Hallie Clark's emotional speech when she received her photo from home. The teen received the picture of herself alongside her mum, brother and sister on Sunday night’s episode.

"My mum has spent her whole life, putting so much of her time and effort into other people and making sure that I am happy and comfortable in myself," Hallie said. As tears streamed down her face, she added: "She put herself in debt to make sure I could get my hormone treatment. She described it as her mind not matching her body. She began hormone replacement therapy at the age of 16.
