Jack Grealish was at Aston Villa from the age of six before eventually making a £100million move to Man City, but did spend a season on loan at Notts County in 2013/14

Jack Grealish has issued a savage "clown" jibe to one former Aston Villa manager over claims he once got the star subbed following a touchline rant.

The former player had taken charge between 1998 and 2002, and also managed at clubs like Derby County and QPR. His stint with Crawley was short lived, but speaking to the Undr the Cosh podcast, he claimed it did include one notorious incident with the now Man City star. "I'm in the dugout and whenever he came near me, I said, 'F***ing Jack Grealish. Aston Villa. F***ing rubbish. No wonder they've f***ing sent you out to Notts County'. I'm right in his ear, 'No wonder they don't f***ing want you up there'. Getting into him.

He responded to the Undr The Cosh' s post of the exchange on Instagram by saying: "John Gregory - Episode 1 of things that never happened... What a clown."
